Transforming together
Bhumi was founded on August 15, 2006 by a group of friends, who believed that every underprivileged child deserves quality education. Since then, Bhumi has transformed this conviction into a volunteering opportunity for India’s youth, launching a snowball effect of nurturing talent on the path to an educated, poverty-free India.

Programme Vision (2018-2028)
Ignite:
Bhumi will work towards providing holistic education and enabling sustainable livelihoods for 5,000 children in the next ten years.
For this we will focus on increasing impact and sustainability in shelter homes, communities and schools
- The volunteer-driven programme at shelter homes will be strengthened for higher effectiveness.
- The school programme will focus on improving student learning outcomes
- The communities programme will improve the community’s ownership on their children’s education
Catalyse:
Bhumi will continue to strive to make volunteering a national habit. We will drive sustainable development goals through impactful volunteer programmes clocking crore hours in volunteering.
Bhumi, as a platform, will groom at least 20% of volunteers as change leaders for society.
Our Chapters
Bhumi is currently operating in multiple cities across India, engaging more than 30,000 volunteers every year. We fuel change by identifying problems that are widespread globally and then scale solutions to a local level.
