1) Empathy and Compassion:

I believe in understanding and sharing the feelings of others. Whether working with children, parents, or colleagues, I prioritize empathy in all interactions, striving to create a nurturing environment where everyone feels heard and valued.

2)Inclusivity and Equality:

I am committed to ensuring that every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to the same opportunities and resources. I believe in creating spaces where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and supported.

3) Integrity and Honesty:

I hold myself to the highest standards of honesty and transparency. In my work, I believe that trust is built through integrity, and I aim to be a reliable and ethical role model for the people I work with.

4) Collaboration and Shared Vision:

I value teamwork and believe that the best results come from collective efforts. I foster a culture of collaboration, ensuring that everyone’s voice is part of the decision-making process, and we work towards a shared vision of success.

5) Growth and Lifelong Learning:

I am dedicated to personal and professional growth. I value continuous learning and believe that by expanding my knowledge and skills.

Why do I do what I do?

I do what I do because I’ve experienced firsthand how transformative education can be. Growing up in an underprivileged household, opportunities were rare, but the belief and support of a single teacher and a book changed my life. That moment taught me that every child deserves the same chance to be seen, believed in, and empowered. Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to ensuring that children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, receive the support they need not just in education, but in their overall well-being. Through my work, I’ve already seen how small changes can transform a child’s future. This keeps me driven, always learning and growing to make a lasting impact. I believe that by investing in our children today, we can build stronger, more compassionate communities for tomorrow

My vision for myself
I am a passionate social worker, dedicated to improving the well-being, health, and education of children. Currently, I’m proud to be part of the Bhumi Fellowship cohort (2023-2025), where I’m gaining invaluable insights and tools to inspire lasting, positive change in our communities. My heart lies in making a real, meaningful difference in the lives of our youngest and most vulnerable members.
I earned my MSW from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kerala, where I found not just my field of interest, but my true purpose: serving underprivileged children. Coming from a similar background, I’ve lived the transformative power of education firsthand. Education changed my life, and it is this personal journey that deepened my belief in its ability to uplift individuals and empower entire communities. That realization led me to seek out organizations that shared my vision, eventually guiding me to the Bhumi Fellowship.
My Strengths
I thrive in the social sector because I genuinely love people, listening to them, talking with them, collaborating, and working together toward a common goal. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, overcoming cultural, linguistic, ideological, and generational differences. Inclusivity isn’t just a practice for me, it’s part of who I am, naturally reflected in the way I build relationships and foster connections.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to communicate effectively. With over four years of experience as a practitioner and mentor in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), I have honed skills in empathetic and compassionate communication. This enables me to build trust, resolve conflicts, and create a safe and understanding environment for those I work with.
