The Social Transformation Project at Schools

While technology & economic growth are key indicators of development, we often overlook the need to cultivate the hearts and minds of those who make up our society.

Our children are a part of this fiercely competitive world that ends up shaping their personalities in manners that are often undesirable. There is an acute need for sensitising them to become more compassionate and take positive action.

Volunteers from Qualcomm, one of Bhumi’s partners, are facilitating the Social Transformation Project in Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls Higher Secondary School, Mylapore. This transformative intervention will focus on building compassion & character in children, ultimately leading them to do good in society.

The upcoming sessions will zoom in on themes like the environment, careers, social media, humanity and global issues to help them connect and come up with positive solutions to we commonly face.

Last weekend, the energetic and fun session motivated children academically and focussed on building self-esteem, thus helping them discover their true potential.

Ms Vandana,  a volunteer from Qualcomm shared her learning about social transformation and change: “If we want to see real change,  we should stay persistent in educating humanity on how similar we all are rather than different. We should see the world through commonalities of the heart so that they would want to change with us. buy modalert online australia modafinil buymoda This is how humanity will evolve to become better.
