Learning aids increase children’s understanding significantly and have an invaluable purpose in the classroom. But, if you think getting these is time-consuming and expensive, read on!
Inspired by some of their teachers’ efforts in the classroom, children at one of our partner schools thought it wasn’t challenging to create a 3D model of an algebraic formula! With great enthusiasm and eagerness, they researched and found a way to do it by hand!
One of the children said, “I had difficulty in memorising the algebraic formulae. But then I was fascinated when my teacher said we can, in fact, crack it! I took some ideas from my book and created a 3D model that would explain (a+b)3 geometrically. I feared to speak in front of my class. But I learned how to teach my fellow students with some practice. I am happy that I don’t have to memorise anymore” and with a big smile, he says “Now, I even know what (a+b)2 looks like!”
Isn’t that what every teacher strives for? Igniting young minds and introducing them to infinite possibilities!
