On the eve of #Bhumi10, Bhumi’s Hyderabad chapter initiated free eye camp and cloth distribution for migrant people working in construction site near Nallagandla in Serlingampalli. Aide at Action is a NGO which focuses on improving the livelihood of underprivileged people across India and few other countries as well. They are working with the construction site people across Hyderabad and played a main role in identifying the right people for our camp.
On August 07, 2016, 15 volunteers gathered and distributed used clothes for 60 children over there. Since the kids were very small, every volunteer put an extra effort to choose the right cloth for each kid by wearing it for them and then gave it to their parents. Once the cloth distribution was done, we arranged the place for conducting eye camp. Ophthalmologist from LV Prasad Eye Hospital trained few of our volunteers, who in turn did the same for the remaining volunteers. Around 121 people got benefited out of this camp. A follow-up will be conducted for people who were diagnosed with issues.
