Job Title: City Manager

Location: Mumbai

Job nature: Permanent, Full-time

The applicant should be willing to travel extensively within the city and interact/work with people including volunteers, beneficiaries, centre authorities, colleges, corporate and vendors.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Understand organisation vision, mission and goals thoroughly and work on cascading this to the entire team in the city
  • Lead and help in the implementation of all the projects across the city
  • Strategize and conduct volunteer recruitment campaigns
  • Visit learning centres and ensure project activities comply with the planned objectives. Record observations and implement solutions to resolve any challenges observed.
  • Troubleshoot project related problems, Identify and implement creative solutions
  • Ensure project assessments, data management are done properly and on time, analyse data, identify trends, prepare and share reports
  • Plan and engage volunteers in civic initiatives, internal events and partner with other non-profits for activities
  • Manage a team of volunteers who lead projects and support them to ensure their projects run smoothly
  • Facilitate and enable volunteers take up leadership roles
  • Represent Bhumi – at events, companies, other organisations for partnerships etc within the city


Secondary/Supporting responsibilities include:

  • Support operations team in planning and executing their goals
  • Conduct training observations whenever possible



  • Education Qualification: Any graduation and above
  • Work experience : Minimum 2yrs of experience in a collaborative environment as a professional / volunteer leading team / campaign / projects – Education preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – English, Hindi, Marathi (not mandatory)
  • Basic computer skills – MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint – Essential
  • Marketing, people management and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively – locally


Other Information:

  • Reporting to: National HR Manager
  • Expected Age: Below 30
  • Scope: Full time, Willing to work on weekends
  • Remuneration: Rs. 3.5 lakhs to Rs. 4.2 lakhs p.a.
  • Expected Joining Date: Immediate
